Man accused in graffiti spree

A West Islip man was arrested Wednesday and charged with vandalizing several buildings and street signs in the West Islip and Bay Shore area this year with graffiti, Suffolk police said.
Jeffrey Bohman, 21, of 627 Pease Lane, was charged with two counts of third degree criminal mischief, seven counts of making graffiti, possession of a graffiti instrument and possession of marijuana.
Bohman was arrested after he spray painted graffiti on the Ace Hardware building at 448 Union Blvd., West Islip, about 10:45 a.m., police said. He was also charged with vandalizing a railroad overpass on Nicolls Road, south of Route 25A in Stony Brook with graffiti, police said, and with spray-painting the underpass of the Robert Moses Causeway Bridge on Union Boulevard, as well as other locations.
He was to be held overnight at the Third precinct for arraignment Thursday in First District Court.
