A Sayville man was drunk when he drove his minivan into a utility pole in North Patchogue early Thursday, injuring his two passengers, Suffolk County police said.

Sean Feeley, 19, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated, after his 2012 Honda minivan struck the pole at the intersection of Route 112 and Gladiola Street at about 1:05 a.m., police said.

His two passengers were taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue with minor injuries, police said.

Route 112 at the scene of the accident was closed from shortly after 1 a.m. until about 7 a.m. for repairs, police said.

Arraignment information for Feeley was not immediately available.
