A 29-year-old Springs man was arrested Wednesday night, charged with a shooting that seriously injured another man last week, police said.

Frank A. Hanna, of 154 Fireplace Rd., was arrested without incident Wednesday evening at his home, East Hampton Town police said. He was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree assault and second-degree menacing, police said.

He is scheduled for arraignment Thursday in East Hampton Town Justice Court.

Police said the victim, Frederic Stephens Jr., 20, of East Hampton, was seriously injured after being shot May 24 inside the home belonging to Hanna. The circumstances leading to the shooting were not immediately clear.

Police said the shooting is being investigated.
