A Bay Shore man, 22, was arrested Saturday for reckless endangerment after letting his unlicensed 15-year-old girlfriend drive his pickup truck, which she ran into the side of an apartment building, Suffolk police said.

Jorge Altuzar of Pine Grove Boulevard was also charged with endangering the welfare of a minor for allowing the teen to operate his 2002 Chevy pickup while trying to teach her how to drive.

According to police, the girl lost control of the vehicle and broadsided the Lexington Village Apartments on Hemlock Drive and Manatuck Boulevard, Bay Shore.

Police said no one was hurt in the accident and could not estimate the damage to the building. They did not identify the minor, who was not immediately charged. A department spokeswoman said the investigation is continuing.
