Man charged in Medford stabbing
A man was stabbed Tuesday night in Medford after he argued with another man, police said.
Suffolk County police said Juan Ramos, 43, of Barbara Lane, Medford, stabbed the other man in the chest just before 8 p.m. on Central Parkway, then fled.
Officers tracked down Ramos a short time later, arresting him and charging him with second-degree assault, police said.
A police helicopter took the victim to Stony Brook University Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition. Police would not say Wednesday if the two men knew each other.
Ramos was scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Central Islip, police said.
