A Central Islip man has been held on bail in connection with an October shooting that left a man with serious injuries, Suffolk authorities said.

Bail for Rashad Woolridge, 25, was set at $500,000 cash or $1 million bond during his arraignment Tuesday on charges of first-degree assault and first-degree criminal use of a firearm.

Woolridge, of 34 Apple St., shot Christopher Sawyer, 29, of Copiague, in the right foot, hip and buttock on Oct. 20 in North Amityville, the Suffolk district attorney's office said.

He was captured Monday by Suffolk police and the U.S. Marshals' New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Woolridge's attorney could not be reached Tuesday evening.
