Suffolk County police say Kesley Nosy, of Great Neck Road, North Amityville, fired several shots at a man he had been arguing with on Aug. 8, 2010, but instead struck Kevin Roker in the shoulder. Nosy was charged with second-degree assault, police said. (Aug. 8, 2010) Credit: SCPD

A 20-year-old man has been arrested after another man was shot and wounded in the shoulder Sunday night outside an apartment complex in North Amityville, police said.

Kesley Nosy, of Great Neck Road, North Amityville, fired several shots at a man he had been arguing with earlier in the night at the Cloverdale Apartments but instead struck Kevin Roker, 44, also of North Amityville, in the left shoulder, Suffolk County police said. The shooting occurred at 8:05 p.m. Sunday.

Roker was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip and was admitted in stable condition, police said. His condition was unknown Monday morning.

Nosy was charged with second-degree assault.

He is scheduled for arraignment Monday in First District Court in Central Islip.
