Only one of the 13 booze-selling businesses visited by an underage buyer Wednesday as part of a police sting sold alcohol to the youth, Suffolk County police said.

The employee who allegedly sold the alcohol, at a BP gas station in Ridge, was charged with a misdemeanor related to the provision of alcohol to minors.

He was identified as Gurjinder Singh, 32, of Wyandanch. A police spokeswoman said Thursday that she didn't know what kind of alcohol Singh is accused of selling to the youth.

The sting was done by an underage volunteer working with the Suffolk County police. Investigators picked the businesses both at random and because of complaints against them.

Singh was working at the BP at 1470 Rte. 25 when he allegedly sold the booze sometime Wednesday. He's scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip.

The other 12 businesses refused to sell the alcohol.
