A Northport man was arrested after he drove the wrong way on Nassau Road in Huntington, crashed into two vehicles and fled the scene - all with a 14-year-old boy in the car, Suffolk County police said Saturday.

John Nullmeyer, 43, was driving a 2009 Toyota north in the southbound-only part of Nassau Road near Main Street in Huntington about 5 p.m. Friday when he crashed first into a 2006 Mazda and then into a 1998 Ford truck, police said.

Nullmeyer turned his car around and tried to flee east on Main Street, but the two drivers whose vehicles had been struck flagged down patrol officers from the Second Precinct, who arrested him.

There were no injuries in the crashes.

Police charged Nullmeyer with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the car, which is a felony under Leandra's Law, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, endangering the welfare of a child, and two counts of leaving the scene of an accident, police said.

He was held on $105,000 cash bail after his arraignment Saturday in First District Court in Central Islip.
