A Riverhead man was arrested Tuesday and charged with assault after police said he punched a co-worker in the face at a construction site in Bridgehampton, breaking the co-worker's nose.

Samuel Lopez-Guevara, 18, was arrested at 3:30 p.m., charged with third-degree assault.

Southampton Town police said that Lopez-Guevara was working at a construction site on Sagaponack Road when he got into an argument with the co-worker, whom they did not identify.

Police said the co-worker alleged Lopez-Guevara "punched him in the face and broke his nose." It was not clear what sparked the fight.

Police said Lopez-Guevara provided them with a fake name and was later found to have an outstanding bench warrant issued in Riverhead. He was charged with false personation and police said that after his arraignment in Southampton Town Justice Court Wednesday, he will be turned over to Riverhead Town police.
