A 39-year-old Lindenhurst man is under arrest Friday, charged with robbing a West Babylon bank twice last month, Suffolk County police said.

Police said Christopher Legge, of 815 Arctic St., robbed the Roslyn Savings Bank on West Montauk Highway on Feb. 11 and again on Feb. 24, stealing an undisclosed amount of cash.

He was arrested by Major Case Investigation Unit detectives and First Precinct Crime Section officers Thursday and charged with two counts of third-degree robbery and fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, police said. He is scheduled for arraignment Friday in First District Court in Central Islip.

Police did not disclose what led them to arrest Legge.

Police said that during the second robbery, which occurred at about 10:15 a.m. last Friday, Legge approached "several tellers" who gave him cash from their drawers. Police said he was wearing a black jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, a black ski mask, black pants and dark sneakers.
