A Brentwood man believed to be responsible for several acts of graffiti has been arrested on vandalism charges, Suffolk County police said.

Darrell Lowe, 18, of 31 Whalen Ct., was arrested Tuesday night around 8:26 p.m. after police responded to a 911 call reporting people making graffiti near Second Avenue and Meadowbrook Driver in Brentwood.

Officers Mark Broderick and Daniel Fandrey arrested Lowe, and a joint investigation by them and Third Precinct crime section officer Jonathan Abrams linked Lowe to other acts of vandalism in Bay Shore and Brentwood, police said.

Lowe is charged with possession of graffiti instruments, possession of a controlled substance and 10 counts of making graffiti.

He was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip.
