Man faces DWI charge in Bridgehampton crash

A New York City man was arrested, charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, after police said he was involved in a single-car accident early Tuesday on Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton.

Tests indicated Brad L. Lauren, 46, had a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.18 percent, Southampton Town police said. The legal limit in New York State is 0.08 percent.

There were no injuries in the crash, which police said took place near the intersection with the Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike at 3:39 a.m.

Lauren was held for arraignment Tuesday in Southampton Town Justice Court.
