Man fires shot at car of Wendy's manager in Copiague
Suffolk County police are looking for a man who allegedly fired a gunshot into a car window in an attempted robbery of a fast-food restaurant in Copiague early Wednesday.
First Squad detectives said an unidentified man approached three employees as they were leaving the Wendy's restaurant at 1255 Sunrise Hwy. in Copiague Wednesday at about 2:36 a.m.
After the restaurant manager got into her car, police said, the man approached her and demanded she open the door. Police said the man was armed with a handgun.
As the woman drove off, the man fired the gun, shattering the rear door window on the driver's side.
The bulled lodged in the headrest on the driver's seat, police said, and the driver suffered a minor head laceration.
