A 30-year-old man was struck by a car and taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a dispute in Coram between two groups of people, Suffolk County police said.

The victim, who was not identified, was struck at the Plaza 99 strip mall on Middle Country Road in Coram about 10:40 p.m. Saturday night, said Suffolk County Det. Sgt. Patrick Maher. The driver left the scene, police said.

Maher said the injuries are not life threatening. The victim was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital. A vehicle description is not being released at this time. No arrests have been made, Maher said.
