Man killed crossing Riverhead street
A 62-year-old Riverhead man was struck by a car and killed Monday evening on East Main Street in Riverhead, Riverhead Town police said.
Police said John Fetkovich was struck by an eastbound 2004 Volvo driven by David Winkler, 64, of Cutchogue, as he walked near Town Hall at 7:34 p.m. He died at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation. No charges were filed against Winkler.
