Man killed in motorcycle crash in Huntington

A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car that turned in front of him in Huntington Sunday evening, Suffolk County police said.

The identity of the motorcyclist, who died at the scene, was not released pending notification of next of kin.

Police said the fatal crash occurred at the intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Park Avenue at about 6 p.m.

It was then, police said, that Karen Brandine, 53, of Huntington Station, who was southbound on Park Avenue in her 2011 Toyota Camry, turned left in front of the northbound motorcyclist.

The 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle then crashed into the Toyota, killed the male motorcyclist.

Police said Brandine was not charged in the crash.
