An East Patchogue man was killed after he lost control of his pickup truck and crashed head-on into a minivan Thursday afternoon in Babylon, Suffolk County police said.

Stephen Rollens, 46, died at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip about two hours after the crash, police said.

The other driver, identified as Philip Gomez, 67, of Babylon, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Good Samaritan, police said. His condition was not immediately known Friday.

Police said the crash occurred on Park Avenue at about 5:25 p.m. Thursday.

Rollens was driving his 2004 Toyota Tacoma west on Park when he lost control and struck the 2006 Dodge Caravan Gomez was driving east, police said.

Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check.
