A Bridgehampton man injured when his sport utility vehicle ran over him in Sag Harbor remained hospitalized in serious condition Thursday, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Christopher Rolf, 59, was injured when his Porsche sport utility vehicle ran over him on Long Island Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sag Harbor Village Police Chief Thomas Fabiano said.

Rolf was airlifted to Stony Brook University Medical Center with possible internal injuries and a broken leg and remained in serious condition Thursday, spokeswoman Erin Rodriguez said.

Police said Rolf was dragged as the Porsche jumped a curb and took down a traffic sign. Fabiano said he theorizes the driver put the vehicle in reverse when he had meant to put it in park.
