Man found shot dead in Bay Shore park, cops say

Suffolk police homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man whose body was found in Bay Shore on Friday afternoon, police said late Friday night.

A man walking a dog found the body in Spur Drive Park about 4:13 p.m., police said. The man was a "victim of violence," police said late Friday night.

Police have not identified the man. The investigation is continuing.
