A 33-year-old Wyandanch man was shot twice in the left arm early Saturday on East Booker Avenue in the hamlet, Suffolk County police said.

Herby Legross, of South 34th Street, was walking toward a party on East Booker Avenue about 12:20 a.m. when he heard a gunshot, police said.

Legross began to run away when he realized he had been hit twice in the left arm, police said.

A passerby drove Legross to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was in stable condition, police said.

Detectives ask that any witnesses contact the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
