Man shot in foot in Wyandanch

A man was shot in the foot in Wyandanch early Saturday, Suffolk County police said.

Troy Kelly, 32, told cops he was walking on Straight Path and Long Island Avenue at about 2 a.m. when he "saw an altercation and heard a gunshot" -- a bullet that struck him once in the right foot, police.

Police said Kelly was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip for non-life-threatening injuries.

He wasn't able to provide a description of the shooter, police said.
