A man was shot once in the head on a street in Wyandanch Sunday evening, but his injuries are considered non-life-threatening, police said.

Suffolk County police said the shooting happened at 45 Andrews Ave. at about 9:30 p.m. Just one shot is believed to have been fired.

The man was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, police said. No one has been arrested in the incident, and police said Monday that the investigation is ongoing.
