Man shot in the knee in Bay Shore, police say
A man was shot in the knee as he stood on a street in Bay Shore on Saturday, Suffolk County police said.
The man, who was not identified, was on Belford Avenue when he was shot in the knee by an unknown assailant just before 8 p.m., police said.
The victim was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of his injury, which police said was not life-threatening.
Police are investigating the incident.
