Second Squad detectives are looking for a man who used a fake South Carolina driver's license twice in December to allegedly withdraw money from another man's bank account, Suffolk County police said Tuesday.
Police have released photos of the suspect from video surveillance cameras at the two banks.
On Dec. 16, police said the suspect entered the HSBC bank at 5880 Jericho Tpke. in Commack, showed the driver's license and withdrew several thousand dollars from the savings account of a South Carolina man.
About a half-hour later that same day, at about 3:30 p.m., the suspect went to the HSBC Bank at 160 Rte. 110 in Huntington Station and attempted to withdraw more money from the same account.
When asked for identification, police said the man produced the fraudulent license, then left without the cash.
