Man stabbed in Central Islip dispute
An argument between a group of men outside a Central Islip coin-operated laundry left one man critically wounded late Monday night after he was stabbed in the abdomen, police said.
The incident took place in the rear parking lot of the Laundry Palace on East Suffolk Avenue at about 11:20 p.m., Suffolk County police said. The victim was identified only as a 29-year-old man from Central Islip.
Police said a group of men were arguing when the victim was stabbed in the abdomen. He was taken to Southside Hospital in Brentwood, where he was in critical condition Tuesday.
No one has been arrested in the attack - and detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
