Man struck, killed by vehicle in Selden

A man was killed after he was struck by a vehicle in Selden Thursday evening, Suffolk police said.

The accident happened at about 6:50 p.m. at Magnolia Drive and Nelson Road, police said.

The man, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene by staff from the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's office.

No charges have been filed, police said. The driver stayed at the scene.

Sixth squad detectives are investigating.
