Crime Stoppers and the Suffolk County police are asking for the public?s help to identify and locate the man who stole merchandise from a Stop & Shop in Bay Shore. (Nov. 27, 2009)

Suffolk County police are searching for a man they said filled a shopping cart with more than $100 worth of baby formula, left the store without paying for it and fled in a car driven by a woman.

Police said the robbery occurred at the Stop & Shop on Main Street in Bay Shore on Nov. 27. They're asking anyone with information regarding the crime to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, police said.

Police said the man loaded the formula into his cart, but bypassed the registers and fled.

He was seen getting into a waiting silver four-door sedan, possibly a Chevy, driven by a woman. No plate was available.
