A Mastic man died Wednesday, two days after being found injured and unconscious on Montauk Highway in Moriches.

Suffolk police responded to a 911 call to find John Ballard, 30, lying in the middle of the road, near Louis Avenue, about 4:30 a.m. Monday.

Police determined Ballard was riding an electric skateboard when he fell, causing his injuries.

Ballard was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue for treatment of serious injuries, and died of his injuries Wednesday police said.
