First Squad detectives are looking for a man who stole about $2,000 in cigarettes from a CVS store in Lindenhurst in September, according to a crime alert issued Wednesday by Suffolk County police.

Police also released photographs of the suspect, taken from video surveillance at the store.

On Sept. 27, at about 2 a.m., the man broke the glass on the front door of the CVS store at 150 S. Wellwood Ave. He entered the building, took the cigarettes and left through the broken door, police said.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
