A Manorville man was charged with felony drunken driving early Saturday after police stopped him -- on an off-road all-terrain vehicle.

Kyle R. Stoddard, 21, was stopped while driving the 2001 Honda ATV along Flanders Road in Riverside at 1:37 a.m., Southampton Town police said. Officers said he was "found to be intoxicated."

Stoddard was charged with felony driving while intoxicated as well as with circumventing an interlock device, installed on his personal motor vehicle, by riding the ATV instead.

He also was charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, unauthorized operation on a public highway, following too closely, driving an uninsured ATV, operating within 100 feet of a residence between midnight and 6 a.m., operating without a helmet, operating without lights and with driving an ATV while intoxicated.

He was arraigned Tuesday and held in county jail on a $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
