Cops: School bus with nearly 30 kids crashes in Manorville, none onboard hurt
A school bus carrying about 30 children crashed Wednesday afternoon into another vehicle in Manorville, Suffolk police said.
There were no injuries reported on the bus but police said the driver of the van was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The full-sized bus was traveling southbound on Eastport Manor Road at 3:45 p.m. when it collided with a work van attempting to make a turn from Gordon Street, according to police. Officers from the Seventh Precinct officers responded to the scene.
