Police: Drunken driver sideswipes car, injures man in South Huntington

A 20-year-old Huntington Station man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated Friday night after he sideswiped another vehicle in South Huntington, Suffolk County police said.
Mariano Campos, of 139 Fourth Ave., was traveling northbound on Pidgeon Hill Road near Greenhills Road at about 10:25 p.m. when his 1999 Nissan Pathfinder sideswiped a southbound 2008 Nissan Altima.
The driver of the Altima, a 68-year-old man, was taken to Huntington Hospital and treated for minor injuries.
Campos was not injured and was arrested and charged with DWI, police said.
Campos is scheduled to be arraigned in Islip at First District Court on Saturday.
