A man riding his bicycle in Central Islip on Saturday was killed when he was hit by a car, Suffolk County police said.

Marlon Santos, 27, of Central Islip was riding his bicycle on Joshuas Path at 10:14 p.m. when he was hit by a 2004 Mitsubishi Montero, police said Sunday.

Santos was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Mitsubishi, Diana Gallardo, 53, of Coram, stayed at the scene and was not injured, police said.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash, and are seeking other vehicles that might have been involved.
