A passenger on a motorcycle was ejected and killed Sunday in a crash with a compact sport utility vehicle in Northport, Suffolk County police said.

Martha Garcia, 57, was riding on the back of her boyfriend's 2008 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, traveling west on Fort Salonga Road at about 5:30 p.m., police said.

A 2015 Toyota RAV4 that was heading east on Fort Salonga Road and whose driver was attempting a left-hand turn into her driveway, west of Sandy Hollow Road, collided with the motorcycle, police said.

Garcia, of Floral Park, was taken to Huntington Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the motorcycle, James Losito, 53, of Floral Park, and the driver of the Toyota, Mary Santry-Rosenvinge, 66, of Northport, also were taken to Huntington Hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing.

Detectives ask anyone with information to contact the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
