Suffolk County police are investigating the death of a man after his minivan fell on him outside his Mastic Beach home.

Around 8:45 p.m., police responded to a house on Cypress Drive after receiving a 911 call about a man pinned under a vehicle.

Police determined that Jose Balmore Gonzales-Flores, 43, had been working underneath his Honda Odyssey in the driveway when the supports failed, causing the minivan to fall on him.

Gonzales-Flores was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
