A 55-year-old Mastic woman was arrested and charged with drunken driving -- and driving while impaired by drugs -- after an early Tuesday crash in Brookhaven, police said.

Anna Maria Fitchett, of Southaven Avenue, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while ability impaired by drugs after the crash near the junction of Montauk Highway and South Country Road at 1:56 a.m., Suffolk County police said. Fitchett and a male passenger each suffered minor injuries and were transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in South Patchogue, where police said they were treated and released.

Fitchett was released to the custody of Fifth Precinct officers and held overnight for arraignment Tuesday in First District Court in Central Islip.

Police said that Fitchett, driving a 2008 Nissan Maxima eastbound on Montauk Highway, lost control of the car and struck a pickup truck parked on the side of the road.
