A Mastic woman sustained minor injuries after her car went out of control early Friday and she hit a tree, police said.

Suffolk County police said Malinda Jackson, 31, was transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue by Mastic Ambulance after the single-car crash, which occurred at about 2 a.m. on Eleanor Avenue in Mastic.

Jackson was treated for “minor” injuries, police said.

Police said Jackson was making a left turn onto Eleanor when she lost control of her 2007 Hyundai, crashing into the tree. There was no criminality and she was not charged, police said.
