A man walked into the employees-only section of a Center Moriches McDonald's and stole cash Monday from the register, Suffolk police said.

The cashier at the Main Street location was opening the register about 1:40 p.m. when the man went over the counter, then pushed a manager nearby, police said.

The man grabbed cash from the register and ran, setting off a search by air and police dog, police said.

He was not found but police want the public's help in nabbing him. He appeared to be in his late 20s and was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, police said. Further description and other details were not immediately available, police said.
