Bicyclist hit by truck in Medford, critically injured, police say

A bicyclist was injured when he was struck by a truck in Medford on Saturday evening, police said.
The man, who was not identified, was hit by a 2015 Ford pickup truck on Horseblock Road at about 7 p.m. and was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital in critical condition, police said.
The driver of the truck, Michael Saidler, 41, of Shirley, stayed at the scene. He and a passenger were not injured, police said.
Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating the incident. Anyone with information about the crash, or the victim's identity, is asked to call 631-854-8652.
