Mill Road at Granny Road in Medford was closed in both directions after an accident Wednesday afternoon involving a motorcycle and a minivan, Suffolk County police said.

A woman in the minivan was turning left from Mill Road and was hit by the motorcyclist at about 1:30 p.m., police said.

The motorcyclist was airlifted by helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, said a police spokeswoman, who had no further immediate details.
