Melville driver dies after car hits pole
A Melville man was killed early Sunday morning after his vehicle collided with a pole in Huntington, Suffolk police said.
Mark Tully, 21, was driving a 2003 Infiniti south on West Neck Road at about 3:45 a.m. when the vehicle left the roadway and hit a telephone pole along West Neck north of Penataquit Place, police said.
Tully was taken to Huntington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about four hours later.
His car was impounded for a safety check.
