Middle Country Rd. reopens in Lake Grove
Authorities are investigating the cause of an early morning fire Wednesday at a horse supply company in Lake Grove.
Suffolk County police and fire officials said no one was injured in the fire at the Happy Horse Supply Depot, but that the fire briefly closed Middle Country Road between Elliot and McGaw avenues. The road was reopened shortly after 7 a.m., police said.
The fire was reported at about 5:30 a.m. Firefighters from Centereach, Stony Brook, Selden and Ronkonkoma responded to the scene and battled the blaze.
Officials said the Centereach fire marshal also was on scene, but that the cause of the fire had not been determined.
The Happy Horse is a supplier of English and Western saddlery and tack, according to a website posting.
