Middle Island man arrested on DWI charge in crash

A Middle Island man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after Suffolk police said he rear-ended another vehicle early Sunday in Medford.

Howard Dunlap, 42, was driving a 1985 Ford pickup north on County Road 101 about 200 feet north of Woodside Avenue shortly after midnight when he hit the rear of another vehicle traveling in the same direction, police said.

Dunlap, who was not injured, was charged with driving while intoxicated. Police had no information about whether the other driver was injured.
