Police investigate fire that damaged mini school buses, cops say

Police are investigating the cause of an early morning fire that damaged several mini school buses at a depot lot on the border of Gordon Heights and Coram, but said the fire does not appear suspicious.
Suffolk fire officials said the fire at the Baumann & Sons lot on West Yaphank Road was reported in a 911 call at 3:42 a.m. Volunteers from Coram and Gordon Heights responded.
Police said detectives from the department's Arson Squad are investigating, but could not immediately identify the focus of that investigation.
Photos from the scene showed at least three mini school buses heavily damaged -- or, destroyed -- by fire.
