Montauk Highway closed in Center Moriches due to truck hitting overpass, Suffolk police say
A truck driver struck an overpass in Center Moriches on Wednesday morning, and so a portion of Montauk Highway was closed in both directions, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
The closure is between Wilcox Avenue and Old Neck Road, said an email from the department’s press office.
No one appeared to be hurt in the collision, which happened sometime before 10 a.m., the email said.
The driver’s identity wasn’t disclosed.
