Mosquito spraying set for Fire Island
Five villages on Fire Island will be sprayed with the pesticide sumithrin Wednesday and Thursday as part of Suffolk County's effort to reduce the mosquito population.
All streets in Ocean Bay Park will be sprayed from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday.
And all streets in Fire Island Pines, Water Island, Atlantique and Summer Club will be sprayed from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, county health officials said.
