Oak Beach and two communities on Fire Island will be sprayed with the pesticide sumithrin Tuesday as part of an effort to reduce the mosquito population.

All streets in Davis Park and Point O'Woods on Fire Island will be sprayed from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., county health officials said.

All streets in Oak Beach, except buffer areas near wetlands, will be sprayed from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
