James Pust, of East Northport, dies in motorcycle crash

An East Northport man was killed Thursday evening when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed, Suffolk County police said.

At about 6:55 p.m., James Pust, 38, was riding a 2022 Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on New Highway in East Farmingdale when he crashed north of the Southern State Parkway.

He was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check.
