A Mastic Beach man was killed Thursday night after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a tree, Suffolk County police said.

Police say Joseph Marigliano, 48, was driving a Kawasaki on Woodland Drive near Queen Road in Mastic Beach at 7:35 p.m. when he struck the tree.

He was taken to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

His vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information is asked to call 631-852-8752.
